How Next on Field handles coach accounts and team information.
Effective October 3, 2026
Who operates Next on Field
Next on Field is operated by Erik Pfundstein in the United States. Contact support@nextonfield.com for privacy questions and requests. This policy covers the Next on Field app, account and sharing service, and this website.
Information you provide
Coach accounts use your email address, account and session identifiers, and device-registration information to sign you in, manage allowed devices and control access to shared teams.
Team information may include player names, jersey numbers, positions, attendance, lineups, playing times, scores, match history and notes. Local teams stay on the device unless you choose to share them online or export them. Signing in does not automatically upload every existing local team.
When you select a roster image or file, the roster reader processes it on your device. The reader does not upload the original image or file. Player details you confirm become roster data and are included if you share that team.
How information is used and shared
We use account and team information to provide the app, save and synchronize coaching work, send sign-in codes, manage invitations and devices, prevent abuse, resolve problems and respond to requests. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Invited coaches can view and edit the shared team. The owner can remove future online access. Connected-account presence is temporary and is not stored as a permanent coaching-activity history.
Cloudflare hosts the website, account service and shared team data, and processes sign-in and support-email delivery. Support messages are forwarded to an operator-controlled Gmail inbox provided by Google. These providers process network, security and delivery information, including IP addresses and email metadata, to deliver and protect their services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the service and its users.
Shared data travels over HTTPS. It is not end-to-end encrypted between coaches: the service processes shared data to synchronize it. No method of storage or transmission is risk-free.
Device storage and website technologies
The app saves teams and recovery copies on your device. On iPhone and Android, account credentials use the operating system’s secure storage. Browser use relies on browser storage for app data and sign-in state. The public website does not use advertising cookies or an analytics SDK. Hosting providers may process technical request information.
The app does not request access to GPS location, contacts or the microphone. Selecting a roster image uses your device’s file or photo picker. Apple and Google may separately process store, beta-testing and diagnostic information under their own policies.
How long information is kept
Online account and team information is kept while needed to provide your account and shared teams, until the applicable deletion action. Device-only data remains until you remove it or clear the app’s data. Exported files remain where you saved or shared them.
Account deletion removes the active online account and the online teams it owns and ends their shared access. A hashed deletion-retry record remains usable for up to 30 days; expired records are removed during later service requests. Expired sign-in challenges, sessions and short-term security-rate records are also cleaned during later requests. Expiry does not guarantee immediate physical erasure.
Minimal one-way credential and deletion markers can remain to prevent old credentials or deleted teams from being reused. Provider database recovery history can retain prior data for up to 30 days. Provider security and email-delivery records follow the provider’s retention practices. Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve the request, manage follow-up and meet security or legal obligations; contact us to request its deletion.
Deleting accounts and copies
You can delete your account inside the app or through the web account page. Completed in-app deletion also removes that account’s saved copies on the current device. Web deletion cannot erase devices that are offline. Previously exported or saved copies on other devices cannot be remotely erased. Deleting an invited coach’s account does not delete a team owned by another coach.
Your privacy choices
You choose which teams to share and whom to invite. You can update roster details, remove shared access, export a copy, sign out and delete an account. Email support to request access, correction or deletion of information, or to ask about other privacy rights available where you live. We may need to verify your identity and authority over the information before acting.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to obtain a copy, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to a local data-protection authority. We process information to provide the requested service, protect it, answer support requests and comply with applicable obligations. Where consent is required, you can withdraw it, without affecting prior lawful processing.
Players and children
Next on Field is a tool for adult coaches and is not directed to children. Players do not need accounts. Coaches should enter only information they are authorized to manage and have any permission their club or applicable law requires. Avoid unnecessary birth dates, addresses, medical information or other sensitive details in rosters and notes.
A player or parent can contact support about a child’s information. Include the team and the nature of the request without sending additional sensitive information. We will verify the request and coordinate with the responsible coach as appropriate.
Where information is processed
The operator is based in the United States. Cloudflare and Google operate internationally, so information may be processed in the United States and other countries where those providers operate. Their safeguards and processing practices are described in the Cloudflare privacy policy and Google privacy policy.
Changes
We will update this page and its effective date when the policy changes, and provide additional notice when required. Questions: support@nextonfield.com.
